COLLEGE VISITS today: Adrian College - 8 a.m., Wabash College - 8:30, NROTC Marines - 9:30, and Barnard at 11:30. Bring a signed pass. Tuesday's college visits are: Hamilton College - 10 a.m., Denison - 11:30, and Morehouse - 1 p.m. Wednesday's college visits are: New York University - 9 a.m., Saginaw Valley State - 9:30, and University of Pennsylvania - 1 p.m.
Attention Freshmen: As you may know, tomorrow is the OG/freshmen lunch. Come to C-2 and C-3 at lunch for pizza, drinks, and exciting fun. Room assignments will be posted around the school. That’s tomorrow in C-2 at lunchtime - be there!
Anyone still needing an i.d. picture taken: Please come to the General Office any day this week at the beginning of lunch - you need to bring a copy of your schedule. If you are a junior or senior, please bring your signed Off-Campus form.
Attention student drivers: Parking permits remain on sale in the general office today and tomorrow. Vehicles without permits will be ticketed beginning September 15th. You'll need to complete a blue registration form from the General Office counter, including a parent signature to receive a pass.
Senior t-shirts will be on sale for $10 at the flagpole entrance during lunch only this Tuesday through Friday. This is Homecoming Spirit week, make sure you have your Senior shirt -- we have a limited supply, so first come first serve.
This is the last week to re-register your club or to register a new club!! Even if your club was registered last year, you must re-register. These registration forms must be turned in to us to ensure recognition as an official Pioneer club. Come to C229 for a form. Absolute form return deadline is Friday, September 19th at 3:30!!
7th hour Bus Passes: If you need a 7th hour bus pass - you must go to your class office by this Friday during lunch. Bring your i.d. and schedule showing your 7th hour class. Class office locations are as follows:
9th - in the administration area
10th - C-229
11th - E-100
12th - C-313A.
Remember, this Friday during lunch is the last day we will have the passes.
This is Homecoming Spirit Week! Here are the dress up days for this week only:
Monday: Pajama Day (hats are NOT allowed)
Tuesday: Crazy hair or hat day
Wednesday: 80's Day (hats are NOT allowed)
Thursday: College Day (can also include college hats ONLY!)
Friday: Class Spirit/Class Colors Day
Freshmen-gray
Sophomores-black
Juniors-white
Seniors-purple
Students must stick to the dress code during spirit week - hats are only allowed on hat day and also for college day, providing they are college related!
Registration for the PSAT begins Monday September 15th. Bring $20 to the General Office to register, before school, or during lunch. The PSAT will be administered October 18 at Pioneer.
Writers, lovers of words: Come join the staff of Pioneer’s vibrant and dynamic literary magazine “Overtones”. First meeting is Monday Sept. 15th in E7 Portable, DURING LUNCH.
Come join Spanish Honor Society! Forms are in C-218. Returning members must complete a form. Deadline is Monday, October 6.
Tues. Sept. 16, PTSO meeting in the Little Theater. Mr. White will address questions and give a school update from 7-7:30. The meeting starts at 7:30. Come meet school administrators and learn about school activities and opportunities for students. All are welcome!
Want to volunteer? Join the Community Volunteer Club every Friday during lunch in C-112 to help out at places such as the soup kitchen!
Are you a skier? Are you interested in ski racing this coming winter? If you would like to join the new ski team in Ann Arbor, or learn more about it, see Mrs. Rein in room C-329 to pick up information.
Attention students working for the presidential election! This Saturday, September 20 is the first required class for orientation. Hours are 9:00-1:30. You MUST be early!! Bring a pen! Mrs. Dahl will bring your paperwork. The orientation is at City Hall.
All students' school photos have arrived. If you ordered photos, you may pick them up during lunch today in the Gymnastics Room (off the cafeteria) today.
9th and 10th graders should enter through the cafeteria door.
11th and 12th graders should enter through the door closest to the gym.
Freshmen may also pick up their photos on Tuesday during the OG pizza luncheon.
