Registration for the PSAT continues this week.  Bring $20 to the General Office to register.  The deadline for registering is Oct. 10.  The PSAT will be administered October 18 at Pioneer.

Come Join Spanish Honor Society!  Forms are in C-218.  Returning members must also complete a form.  Deadline is Monday, October 6.

It's Time Again for the Michigan Mathematics Prize Competition Test, which will be offered on Oct. 8th during the a.m. (which is an early release day).  Win cash, and Nerd fame.  The cost is $3.  Sign up with your math teacher.

Check Out The World Famous four-time National Poetry Slam Champion Patricia Smith in a live performance at the Neutral Zone on Wednesday, October 1st at 7:00 PM.  Free!!!

Rec & Ed is offering a free ACT practice exam in the Pioneer cafeteria on Thursday, Oct. 9 from 5:30 - 9:00 p.m.  This will be followed by a parent meeting on Thursday, Oct. 23 in the cafeteria at 6:30 p.m., during which parents will be provided with a free analysis of their child's test score and the state's ACT requirements.  Registration is required for both activities.  Interested students/parents can contact Rec & Ed at 994.2300, ext. 53248.

Are You Interested in Learning About Peace & Meeting Nobel Peace Prize Laureates?  Then join Peace Jam!  Come to the counseling office TOMORROW at lunch.

Attention New and Returning Key Club Members!!  Our first meeting of the school year will be on Tuesday, September 30 during lunch in the Little Theater.  Our Key Club provides community service activities for all the students at Pioneer.  Come and be a part of a rewarding and fun group.  More information will be available at the meeting.

Hey Freshmen!  Are you interested in running for Student Council?  Then make sure to attend the informational session tomorrow, September 30 at lunch in C304.  If you can't make the meeting, election packets will also be available in the general office and the ninth grade office and will be due by Monday, October 6 to Ms. Schulz in C304 or Ms. Germansky in D210.  Elections will be held on Friday, October 17.  We hope to see you there!
