This is an urgent announcement for 9th graders from the OG’s.  The freshmen pizza lunch has been rescheduled from tomorrow, the 12th, to next Tuesday, September 16th.  Don’t forget - that’s NEXT TUESDAY!  All freshmen are to go to C-2 during lunch for free food.

Attention anyone who still needs an i.d. picture taken: Come to the General Office this week at the beginning of lunch - bring a copy of your schedule.  If you are a junior or senior, please bring your signed Off-Campus form.

Attention student drivers:  Parking permits remain on sale in the general office today and tomorrow. Vehicles without permits will be ticketed beginning September 15th.   You'll need to complete a blue registration form from the General Office counter, including a parent signature to receive a pass.

7th hour bus passes for the 10th & 12th grades will be given out at the Clock Tower entrance during lunch today9th & 11th graders will be given out at the same location tomorrow.  Bring your schedule to show you have a 7th hour class.

Freshmen:  Please pick up your pre-paid class of 2012 t-shirt during  lunch or after school.  You can also buy one if you did not pre-order a shirt.  You really want to wear your class shirt during Spirit Week, so don’t delay!  The 9th Grade Office is in the administrative office area.  

All school clubs must register yearly in order to be recognized by Pioneer.  If you are an officer or an advisor of a club from last year, and want your club to continue this year, or if you want to start a new club, you must get fill out the proper form from C-229 (10th Grade Office).

The CR deadline is today, September 11th.  Ms. Jacquette is at Pioneer every Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. until noon, to answer questions about CRs and online classes.  

The last day to drop/add a class is tomorrow, September 12th.   

SENIORS:  We will begin accepting college applications in the general office on Monday, September 15th.  If you complete your application online, please fill out an orange sheet in the genera office and attach it to the counselor page of your application.  We cannot send out your transcript, or recommendations unless you do your part and submit the proper information to the general office.  If you have questions, please see your counselor.

Pioneer Republicans will have their first meeting today at lunch in E1 Portable, discussing t-shirts, 9/11, constitution day, and most importantly volunteering for the McCain campaign!  Country first!

Conditioning for women's basketball and women's track and field begins Monday September 22 from 3:45 till 5:45.  See Ms. Westfield or students Ariel Roberts, Amanda Maher, or Christina Wade for details.

Freshmen and Sophomores!  Now is the time to join the Men's Cross Country team!  Come to the Athletic Office for complete information.  Join Now.

If you are planning to work as an election inspector for the November General Election, get all the forms to Mrs. Dahl by Friday September 12th, after school, in person only!  Attention current applicants, Mrs. Dahl’s camera was stolen from her room so please come back to have your picture re-taken!!!

Tues. Sept. 16, PTSO meeting in the Little Theater. Mr. White will address questions and give a school update from 7-7:30. The meeting starts at 7:30. Come meet school administrators and learn about school activities and opportunities for students. All are welcome!

College Visits begin today.  Bring a signed visit pass to the Career Center.  Today’s College visits are:  University of Michigan, Flint - 9:00 and Kendall College of Art - 1:00
Monday’s College Visits:  Adrian College - 8:00, Wabash College - 8:30, Marine ROTC - 9:30
and Barnard - 11:30

Registration for the PSAT begins Monday September 15th.  Bring $20 to the General Office to register, before school, or during lunch.  The PSAT will be administered October 18 at Pioneer.

Come join Spanish Honor Society!  Forms are in C-218.  Returning members must complete a form.  Deadline is Monday, October 6.

Get involved in a local and global service project.  Join Fight AIDS in Africa at meetings every Monday at 6:00 p.m. and Wednesday at lunch.  Fliers in the library, or visit youthempowerment.com.

Writers, lovers of words:  Come join the staff of Pioneer’s vibrant and dynamic literary magazine “Overtones”.  First meeting is Monday, Sept. 15th in E7 Portable, during lunch.
