Fall Sports  Registrations are now being accepted in the athletic office

Three things are needed in order to register your child for a sport, 1) An athletic medical record, signed by a doctor, a parent and the student 2) An emergency card and 3) the $30 athletic benefit fee.  All these forms are available here on our website, just download and print, or you can get them in them in the athletic office between 7:30-4:00 weekdays.

Fall Sports Tryouts

If you wish to tryout for a fall sport, please register with the office and then contact the coach about any summer workouts, camps and conditioning sessions.  Football tryouts officially begin on Aug 10th and all other fall sports start their official tryouts on Aug 12th.  Again, please contact the coach for specifics on days, times and locations and good luck!

Message from the Athletic Director:
Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to the interscholastic athletic program at Pioneer High School. Involvement in athletics and other extracurricular activities is a valuable experience. I am glad that you and your family have decided to participate.

Please take the time to read the enclosed materials. They contain information important for student-athletes and their parents to know and understand about the operation of the Pioneer athletic program. This information can directly affect student-athletes' ability to participate in athletics at Pioneer.

Being a part of the athletic program can be time consuming and take away from your studies, social or other activities. It is important to be diligent in your work and practice to become successful, both academically and athletically. Academics are of the utmost importance. Many students find that participation in athletics motivates them and helps them focus on their studies. Last year, the overall grade point average for all athletes was 3.23, a demonstration of the outstanding commitment students; teachers, parents, and administrators have made to academics and athletics.

As a student-athlete, you will be a role model, a leader, a team member, and a supporter. Others might try to divert your attention away from the goals you have set. Remain true to yourself. Exhibiting good sportsmanship and citizenship, being drug free, staying in school, teamwork, and self-discipline are traditions at Pioneer. Help keep this tradition strong. I look forward to seeing you play and support the tradition of Pioneer High School, a tradition of excellence. Best wishes for a successful academic and athletic year.

Cordially,
Lorin Cartwright
Athletic Director
